At Safe Screen, your privacy and digital safety are our primary mission. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data when you use our application.

1. Introduction & Purpose

Safe Screen is a safety utility designed to protect users from inappropriate visual content. To achieve this, the app requires access to the device's screen via the Android Media Projection API.

2. Real-Time Screen Monitoring (MediaProjection)

To detect and block NSFW (Not Safe For Work) content, Safe Screen monitors your screen activity in real-time:

• What we capture: The app captures temporary "frames" (screenshots) of your active screen.
• How we process it: These frames are analyzed immediately by our automated NSFW detection algorithm.
• Ephemeral Processing: We do not record, save, or store your screen data. Frames are processed in the device's volatile memory (RAM) and are deleted instantly after the analysis is complete (usually within milliseconds).

3. Data Collection & Storage

• Visual Data: We DO NOT collect, upload, or share your screen captures, images, or videos to any external servers. All analysis happens locally on your device.
• Personal Information: We do not require a name, email, or phone number to function.
• Technical Logs: We may collect anonymous crash reports and basic device info (e.g., model, OS version) to improve app stability.

4. User Consent & Control

Safe Screen is designed for transparent safety and cannot run in a "hidden" or "stealth" mode.

• Prominent Disclosure: Before monitoring begins, Safe Screen will display a clear request for permission.
• Explicit Consent: Monitoring will only start after you provide explicit "Start Now" consent via the Android system dialog.
• Visible Operation: While active, a persistent notification remains visible in your tray. You can stop monitoring at any time by tapping "Stop" or closing the app.

5. Security

We use industry-standard encryption and on-device processing to ensure that your screen data never leaves your phone. Since we do not store your data, there is no risk of your screen captures being compromised in a server-side data breach.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Safe Screen is intended as a parental control and safety tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
